    I really like the feel of this tool compared to the other I have that came from HD years ago. This one has a nice ratchet feel and that odd, dual angle, cutter actually works great. This is a better quality too all around than the old one. The best overall feature is that that this handles larger pipe much better than the than the older cutter did. I don’t know if it’s a common thing, but both of these tools leave the pipe end quite wavy. It’s a smooth cut, but certainly not straight. So if you want to use this on a project where you will see the end of the pipe, just know that. If this end was to be glue to a fitting, you’d never know. Overall, this is a great working tool and cuts both small and large PVC with ease.

    The max for PVC is 1.5 inches. This tool is a bit wider than my existing cutter but unlike my old cutter, this one is not heavy duty. Nice that it came with an additional blade but the misleading description did not set well with me.

    The shipment arrived quickly (14 days), arrived open and not in the package, there was packaging in the package but torn, comfortable ergometric grip But the cut of rubber/plastic pipe is not sharp/clean and the cut leaves an unclean/even line

    This cutter cuts sch 40 PVC like butter, but it only fits smaller pipes. The maximum external diameter of the pipe that it fits is 2 inches. I could not get my 2″ internal diameter sch 40 pipe to fit into the jaws. The operation is simple and really smooth when cutting a pipe, but the latch to hold the handle down when it’s stored is pretty flimsy. I like that it comes with a spare blade as well. Overall it’s a good cutter but not something that I would consider to be commercial grade.

    I just love this PVC pipe cutter, I was working on my sprinkler system and I had to replace several line of PVC and before I was using a handsaw and that was a work out but with this cutter a made it so easy to make perfect cut with no efforted, A comes with another blade that is easy to use, the blade on the cutter was cutting the PVC like a paper with a scissors. The body is made with aluminum material so is very light, the blade can be sharped easy, Great value for this tool and a most have for a DIY.

    I needed this for replacing my sump pump and this did a great job of cutting the 1.5″ pipe with not much effort.
    A big plus is there were no mess afterwards, unlike in the past when I used a sawzall or a hand saw to cut leaving bits and pieces behind.
    This tool feels very solid and will last for years to come!

    This AIRAJ Ratchet PVC Pipe Cutter Heavy Duty is accurately described: Heavy duty!
    The cast aluminum body still has a little bit of heft, feeling solid, but only weighs a pound.
    My coworker has a ratcheting cutter from a big box store that is plastic and feels like it’s going to break every time I use it.
    This one feels solid, and easily chopped the top off of a wide mouth plastic drink bottle.
    I expect this to last for a while, and the extra blade ensures longevity.
    I don’t know that the closing tab will keep it together in my tool bag. I will update if it’s an issue.
    Great cutting tool, and would order again.
